The Dingač site, on the southern slopes of Pelješac, is one of the most renowned wine-growing regions in Croatia and was also the first wine to receive the Croatian controlled designation of origin in 1961. The sparse, mineral-rich soil, limestone bedrock, triple exposure (sun, sea, and stone), and low yields make this area ideal for cultivating the Plavac Mali variety.

Ponos Dingač is produced exclusively from hand-picked grapes from this exclusive site, where only about 0.6 kilograms of fruit are harvested per vine. This very concentration of nature’s power gives the wine its distinctive deep ruby color and complex character.

The wine is powerful, dense, and elegant – its aroma evokes ripe black fruit, dried figs, earthy notes, and noble spiciness. Aging in oak barrels further enhances its depth and roundness. Although full-bodied with high alcohol, it maintains exceptional drinkability and a long, fruity-tart finish.
